so the last 2 months have been interesting at work. we've had layoffs and new additions to my team. luckily our new team members were a few that we were able to bring back. we've also figured out who are new accounts will be. i'll still keep my green bay account but gave up my 2 in TX. instead, i get an fmo in san diego. yes! close enough so i can drive down to visit. all is well.. except....
today, tami (my boss) approaches me about taking on an account in WV. i'm cool w/ it so to balance it out, i'm going to pass my san diego account to another team member. this new account is in charleston - woo hoo! i've never been to WV so this'll be interesting. i wonder if they have chinese restaurants there. haha.
one of my co-workers joked that there aren't that many asian folks in WV. i really didn't think so.
i'm really looking forward to our vacation to FL and NY next month. i've got to book the hotel in orlando and see if i can get marlin tix.

is it sad that it took me a few moments to figure out what WV was? my brain is mush.
what do you do? i've never had a job that required travel. (my job only has a little bit of instate travel.) if i did, i'm not absolutely sure i'd love it. josh travels sometimes for work and likes it. he likes it better when it's for a conference and he can actually see the sights, or take me with him.

@SarahakaHungry - i deal with states so often that their abbreviations come naturally to me. but to answer your question, i work with large insurance brokerage agencies that market my company's medicare health plans to seniors. it's service based account management that requires face-time. i don't mind traveling but i do wish i could take gavin w/ me. unfortunately it never works out that he's able to come w/ me.
@msmacey - whoa, i thought you were working? how's everything going? i'll be in NYC 7/30-8/3. maybe this time we'll have a chance to meet up?
@dingbatkim - no more work for me. i got laid off from my firm about 3 months ago so i'm a housewife/stay at home soon to be mommy and expecting a little one this coming sept. i should be around then when you are in town. let me know so we can meet up or something. =)
