I WANT RAIN!!

as for gavin's gift, he was interested in getting a new wallet since the burberry one i got him 2 x-mas ago was starting to look worn down. he saw one he liked so i picked that up for him. i think it's funny how we got each other both burberry items this year.

we then ended up @ kitayama.. as we seem to do every year. i mean, i remember going there for our 1st but not sure where we were for our 2nd. that's why i need to start taking more pictures or else we won't remember jack. we luckily got 1st seating w/ yama but also ran into the couple we see ALL THE TIME. i mean, it's ridiculous the number of times we see them when we go to kitayama. it's like every time. anyway, it was good cuz this couple owns a rolex store in bolsa and was kind enough to hook gavin up w/ a watch repair a few months ago. the guy even offered to buy us a beer or sake last night. we kindly declined since we don't drink much anymore. we're planning to go bk to the store thanksgiving weekend since they're having a big show and invited us to come check it out.

could this be the year i get a rollie!?! pffft, doubt it. it's on my wishlist but not in top spot.

the clock continues to tick until our next anniversary.
boot camp

i'm glad liz introduced me to boot camp cuz it's been a way for me to get bk into exercising. oooh, it's been waaay too long and too many extra pounds. tonight was nice cuz this time, i didn't come home and puke. the last 2 times had me tossing my cookies. and i've NEVER thrown up after working out before.

last night i was going thru pics on gavin's laptop and came across ones from my europe cruise bk in 05. it seems so long ago but that's the last time i was actually in shape. it's given me a goal though to try and get healthy again and lose the weight i've gained since getting hitched.

eat better, exercise, and more sleep!
Wednesday, June 17, 2009

so the last 2 months have been interesting at work. we've had layoffs and new additions to my team. luckily our new team members were a few that we were able to bring back. we've also figured out who are new accounts will be. i'll still keep my green bay account but gave up my 2 in TX. instead, i get an fmo in san diego. yes! close enough so i can drive down to visit. all is well.. except....

today, tami (my boss) approaches me about taking on an account in WV. i'm cool w/ it so to balance it out, i'm going to pass my san diego account to another team member. this new account is in charleston - woo hoo! i've never been to WV so this'll be interesting. i wonder if they have chinese restaurants there. haha.

one of my co-workers joked that there aren't that many asian folks in WV. i really didn't think so.

i'm really looking forward to our vacation to FL and NY next month. i've got to book the hotel in orlando and see if i can get marlin tix.
Thursday, April 30, 2009

i now have something to look forward to. A TRIP!

i've been itching to go on a trip for while now and just finalized the flights/hotel this week. gavin & i will be taking a 10-day trip to FL and NY. we're going to hang w/ my family down in FL for 6 days and then fly up to NY for 4. I don't have any concrete plans on what to do while we're in either places but I know it's going to be fun and memorable.

since gavin's never been to FL, i figured it be good to start a list of places and things to do. for sure, i want to go to disneyworld! not sure if we'll go to magic kingdom since it's a bigger version of disneyland but i think epcot will be neat. the marlins are also in town so i'm sure we'll catch a game too. and if we can squeeze it in, maybe a round of golf w/ my little cousin.

NY will probably be all about shopping for gavin. i can see it now.. all shoe shops (eg. dave's quality meat). i'm 100% certain he will come home w/ a pair of shoes. please let it not be the nike air yeezy's!

i can't wait to plan the next trip after this one. i'd love to go on a cruise again to europe or visit HK/japan. yeah!

Monday, April 27, 2009

i spent the afternoon today @ my parents house helping them move their bedroom furniture and clean up my old room. i had files i had to go through to see what could be thrown away, recycled or shredded. after going through some files that were 10 yrs old, i ended up going through my correspondence box. i keep all letters/cards i receive. so it was fun reading through old x-mas, b-day, thank-yous and just regular letters. there were some i just couldn't read - like the bf i cheated on.. that one was sad. but others put a smile on my face. silly notes from old friends that i'd love to reconnect with again. i think it's just cool to read back to see what ppl had to say at one point in your life.

now i just have to get a bigger box. ;)
being a clippers fan

it's not easy. if you count the number of close games they've lost this season, you'll want to throw your head forward into a brick wall. or in the case of "the happening" you can throw it forward into a broken window. that movie was horrible. i rented it last night from blockbuster and want my money back. no wonder SNL made fun of mark wahlberg. what the F? ok, back to the clippers... i am sad to hear rumors that baron davis is saying it was a mistake coming to LA. i blame elton brand! when i was at the clips/sixers game wed night, i had to ask when baron davis would show up b/c homie had like 6 pts on the board. WHERE ARE YOU BARON?! i know we don't have kaman or zach randolph but please.. you are the leader of this team.. SCORE SOME POINTS.

eric gordon had an awesome game today. he's got a funky smile but i'm happy i got a pic w/ him at the sixers game. not to mention almost all the clippers autographs on a basketball while doing autograph alley. the ball is now sitting in a case at home. gavin took out my corey maggette ball out and put the other one in. i love you corey so i'll find a new case for you soon.

i hate when the clips lose a close game.. it just breaks your heart as a fan.

Saturday, December 13, 2008

i know i know.. it's been a while since i've posted. i still check xanga daily but haven't had much to say or have anything exciting happen. i guess i enjoy reading that writing my own posts. in the last three months, it's been work, travel for work, hawaii, work, b-day, work, clipper games, work, travel for work, thanksgiving, work, clipper games, work, and oh yeah, work.

i travel again next week. green bay has started to get snow.. oh joy. and dallas is a little chilly. 5 days away right before the holidays. fun.

i'm almost done w/ my x-mas shopping. just a few here more gifts to get. one thing that i'm curious about is all the clothes you see in stores that will never get bought. what happens to them? ok, they get shipped to marshall's/ross/tj-max but what happens after that? do they get shipped elsewhere? perhaps they're donated or shipped to a 3rd world country?

i'm glad to see that the clippers pulled out a win tonight. i really can't stand to watch them when the games are close b/c somehow, SADLY, they find a way to lose by a few points. it's heartbreaking. but i enjoy going to the games and look forward to more wins (and losses of course). what probably pisses me off the most at the games is when ppl don't remove their caps during the singing of the national anthem. i find that hugely insulting.

i need to sleep in tomorrow. and maybe i'll get to pick up a 3-wood when gavin and i go pick up his new wedge.

Tuesday, September 09, 2008

i got to play w/ my new clubs yesterday. FINALLY, i could hit the ball. why didn't i get a new set of clubs earlier? i was never good w/ my old drivers. they sucked ass and i could never get any distance. but now i can finally get some air. yay! i need to keep practicing and figure out what sort of distance i get from each club. then i need to work on my alignment. i kept driving towards the trees cuz somehow that's where i was aiming.

so i'm back to traveling again. here's my schedule...

9/15 - 9/17: green bay
9/21 - 9/24: minneapolis
9/24 - 9/26: dallas
10/1 - 10/12: hawaii (not for work but a well-deserved vacation!)

some days i feel work could go so much better. and then little things seem to turn it around. i got an e-mail from the folks that manage our career website the other day. they had selected me to be profiled on the site to attract potential employees. they wanted me to write about things like, "what is an inspirational quote that i try to live by?" and "what does integrity mean to you?"... um, i don't know. this requires thought of a different kind HA! they would schedule a photoshoot to have professional pics taken that would be posted along w/ my statements. i told them i would try to participate but never turned in my forms. i know, an opportunity lost to be famous! but as much as i'm flattered to be chosen, i kind of have the feeling they picked me to be the token asian person for the site. but hey, maybe not. to be honest, i got lazy and didn't want to bother w/ the whole deal. it made me feel a little good though..
yoga

was good this afternoon. took another c1 course which was less intense as sunday's. still, i'm slowly getting back into it and will probably need a few more c1's before i meet up w/ tina in c2's and the dreaded heated rooms. i'm already good w/ the classes where the room naturally heats up to 80-85 degrees and i'm just a sweat ball. it's been a while since i've seen sweat roll down my arms in downdog. thanks go to tina for getting me back into the yoga kick. can't wait for the aliso studio to open up.

so we're not playing meadowlark on sunday. instead it'll be el prado in chino. i'm dreading the heat in the 909/951.

and vegas is back on for next weekend. one thought... outlet shopping!

golf schmolf...

i've been playing a little golf lately. it's something i wasn't planning to start up again - some may know why (ahem... penis finger), but gavin's been on a big golf kick lately... so he's gotten me to play with him. today we played at the la mirada golf course. i couldn't hit my driver until the 14th hole and from then on, i was decent for my 2nd time playing in 4 yrs. my putting sucked ass. more often than not, i overshot by 2-3ft. overall, i top the ball way too much and have an unbalanced putting stroke. i guess i should practice more. we plan to play at kapalua, maui when we go to HI in october.

i've also been trying to get on a health kick and hope to lose some weight. i'm abt 10lbs more than what i weighed when i got married. i notice it in how i fit in my clothes and my lack of energy. part of it has to do with HI, but it's really cuz i miss having the strength and energy that i had before. plus i make it easy for ppl to think i'm pregnant when i'm not. "thank you very much, but i'm not pregnant. i'm just in a phase in my life called fatty fatness."

so to help get myself back in shape, i've been walking as well. it's rather hilly in the neighborhood so i've been going on 2-3 mile walks. i can feel the inclines working in my calves cuz we all know how attractive bulky calves look on women. i'd run but i don't think my joints will like me very much. i'm going to try to get back into yoga as well. argh.. looking bk, i LOVED the affects yoga had on my life. slowly i'll get there.

next week we'll be playing at meadowlark in huntington beach. maybe after i get my swing down, i'll get a new set of clubs. hmm.. early birthday present? hahaha...
