we celebrated our 3 yr anniversary yesterday. for once i was expecting a card or flowers. nope didn't get any. gavin pulled a "kim" on me! i did however have a card for him. it was actually the one i bought last year but never got around to filling out. i had hid it in the pocket behind the passenger seat of my car. gavin had come across it a while back ago when he was sitting in the back and we all laughed cuz i had forgotten about it.

this year, we didn't surprise each other w/ anything. on sunday we had a chance to go to bloomingdales to use the friends & family coupon belle had forwarded to us.  i've been hoping to find a pair of burberry rain boots cuz when we were in NY this summer, liva had a pair on that i thought were really cool. gavin said he'd buy me a pair but i told him naah, cuz i wasn't sure i'd even want them. i'd never had a pair in my life or tried them on. anyway, i found a pair - i think they were gray but not in my size. they had a pair in SF they could ship to me so i went ahead and bought it. i'm hoping to get those puppies soon to try on. I WANT RAIN!!

as for gavin's gift, he was interested in getting a new wallet since the burberry one i got him 2 x-mas ago was starting to look worn down. he saw one he liked so i picked that up for him. i think it's funny how we got each other both burberry items this year.
 
we then ended up @ kitayama.. as we seem to do every year. i mean, i remember going there for our 1st but not sure where we were for our 2nd. that's why i need to start taking more pictures or else we won't remember jack. we luckily got 1st seating w/ yama but also ran into the couple we see ALL THE TIME. i mean, it's ridiculous the number of times we see them when we go to kitayama. it's like every time. anyway, it was good cuz this couple owns a rolex store in bolsa and was kind enough to hook gavin up w/ a watch repair a few months ago.  the guy even offered to buy us a beer or sake last night. we kindly declined since we don't drink much anymore. we're planning to go bk to the store thanksgiving weekend since they're having a big show and invited us to come check it out.

could this be the year i get a rollie!?! pffft, doubt it. it's on my wishlist but not in top spot.

the clock continues to tick until our next anniversary.

so the last 2 months have been interesting at work. we've had layoffs and new additions to my team. luckily our new team members were a few that we were able to bring back. we've also figured out who are new accounts will be. i'll still keep my green bay account but gave up my 2 in TX. instead, i get an fmo in san diego. yes! close enough so i can drive down to visit. all is well.. except....

today, tami (my boss) approaches me about taking on an account in WV. i'm cool w/ it so to balance it out, i'm going to pass my san diego account to another team member. this new account is in charleston - woo hoo! i've never been to WV so this'll be interesting. i wonder if they have chinese restaurants there. haha.

one of my co-workers joked that there aren't that many asian folks in WV. i really didn't think so.

i'm really looking forward to our vacation to FL and NY next month. i've got to book the hotel in orlando and see if i can get marlin tix.

i spent the afternoon today @ my parents house helping them move their bedroom furniture and clean up my old room. i had files i had to go through to see what could be thrown away, recycled or shredded. after going through some files that were 10 yrs old, i ended up going through my correspondence box. i keep all letters/cards i receive. so it was fun reading through old x-mas, b-day, thank-yous and just regular letters. there were some i just couldn't read - like the bf i cheated on.. that one was sad. but others put a smile on my face.  silly notes from old friends that i'd love to reconnect with again. i think it's just cool to read back to see what ppl had to say at one point in your life.

now i just have to get a bigger box. ;)
